Nasal VA mouth breathing

Open mouth posture or breathing through mouth increase the risk of inflammation in adenoid and tonsils and childrens are more prone to airway infection like flu, cold and cough, dust allergy, frequent asthma attack.

Ask your child to always breath through their nose and mouth closed.

Mouth breathing also changes the facial growth pattern due to imbalance between cheek muscle and tongue muscle.

Tongue is strong muscle of face helps in jaw expansion and also leads to airway expansion. So upper jaw is not only roof of mouth and but also floor of the nose

Nose has natural filters that helps in filtering air from microorganisms

Gases present in nasal cavity helps in better absorption of oxygen

Nasal breathing calms the body and reduces stress.

πŸ¦·πŸ’¬ Do you experience pain or discomfort in your jaw joint or muscles? You may have a TMJ disorder.

TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders are a group of conditions that affect the jaw joint and the surrounding muscles and tissues. The TMJ is the joint that connects the jawbone to the skull and allows the jaw to move up and down and side to side.
TMJ disorders can cause pain and discomfort in the jaw joint and muscles, difficulty chewing or talking, and clicking or popping sounds when the jaw is moved. They can be caused by a variety of factors, including injury, arthritis, teeth grinding or clenching, and stress.

Happy World Sleep Day! πŸ˜΄πŸ’€ Today, we're raising awareness about the importance of good quality sleep, which is essential for our physical and mental health. Here are some facts about sleep that you might find interesting:

πŸŒ™ There are different stages of sleep: NREM (non-rapid eye movement) and REM (rapid eye movement). During NREM sleep, our body repairs itself and consolidates memories, while during REM sleep, our brain processes emotions and dreams.

πŸŒ™ Deep sleep is a crucial stage of NREM sleep, during which our brain waves slow down and our body relaxes deeply. Deep sleep is important for many bodily functions, such as hormone regulation, muscle repair, and immune system support.

πŸŒ™ However, many people struggle to get enough deep sleep due to various factors, such as stress, poor sleep habits, sleep disorders, or medical conditions. That's where a sleep specialist can help. A sleep specialist is a medical doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, and more.

πŸŒ™ By improving the quality and quantity of your sleep, you can boost your energy, mood, productivity, creativity, and overall well-being. So, make sure to prioritize your sleep hygiene by creating a conducive sleep environment, sticking to a regular sleep schedule, avoiding caffeine and alcohol before bedtime, and seeking professional help if needed.

Your any sleep related issues you can contact us.
