Trip down the memory lane to the second floor of our college and to our famous D hall. The first year is pretty much all about anatomy, coping with the formalin smell initially, acqainting to all the skulls resting beside you, learning that the new pretty lilac and violet colour pencils aren't so cute after all and that histology diagrams make you want to reconsider this whole doctor thing. Learning the anatomical position of organs only seems easy and the differentiation between various epithelium seems impossible.
From an observation of one minute silence religiously, to the adrenaline rush on seeing the cadaver for the first time, from the exhausting and extensive file work, to the surgeon feeling we get while studying specimens.
No matter how tough this might get, anatomy truly gives the feeling of being a medical professional and teaches us the lesson of showing empathy towards all patients
