With the number of SARS CoV2 increasing exponentially I request all family/ friends to stay safe.
Your safety shield remains the Mask. Wear Masks (preferably N95) properly, cover the nose, handle mask only from the strings. Keep at least 3 masks for each person washing one everyday. Changing /washing after every trip outside home or in case of non- maintenance of social distancing.
Use Chlorhexidine 0.2% solu(Hexidine, ICPA ) undiluted to gargle before you Take steam everytime you come back home from outside and twice a day if you stay at home only.
Two drops of lemon juice in each nostril once a day for 2 days helps clear the nasal passages and sinuses.
Sniff a Potli with ajwain(carom seeds), 2 laung (clove)kapoor (camphor) or Eucalyptus oil tied in a piece of cloth.
Check for redness in eyes, dryness of mouth, tongue ulcers or whiteness, sudden severe headache, other than typical signs sinusitis sneezing coughing breathing difficulty, loss of taste and or smell
COVID Treatments
MILD DISEASE: Uncomplicated URTI (&/or Fever) WITHOUT breathlessness/ Hypoxia
HOME ISOLATION
Supportive Management Drink kadha smell potli, Hexidine gargles and take steam,
Vit D, C , Zinc supplements
Mask, Hand Hygiene, Physical distancing, droplet precaution
Medicines
IVERMECTIN 12 mg Once daily for 5 Days with
DOXYCYCLINE 100 mg twice daily for 7 days
PARACETAMOL 500 mg (in case of fever) can be repeated 4 hourly.
Don't forget your daily prescription medications.
MONITOR: SpO2, (Put Pulse oximeter on middle finger and keep hand stable on a table/flat surface and take reading for 1 minute and then second reading after walking for 6 minutes and again monitor for 1 minute.) BP, Temp, Pulse, Senses (Nervous system)
Preferable Investigations:
CXR, PA, Chest X-rays
Blood Test
CBC, CRP, LFT, CBG, Serum Creatinine, DDimer, IL6
