ENDO-RESTORATIVE EXCELLENCE – CDE PROGRAM | 14th–15th July 2026

The Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics successfully organized a 2-day CDE Program on VDW Rotary File System and Indirect Veneers on 14th & 15th July 2026.

We were honored to have Dr. Arun Jayasheel, Professor, Bapuji Dental College, Davangere, as the resource person. The program was chaired by Dr. Madhu Pujar and organized by Dr. Sameer Sait, with the participation of 52 delegates, including postgraduate students, faculty members, and private practitioners.

The event featured insightful lectures and hands-on workshops on VDW Rotary Files and Indirect Veneers using typhodont models. Participants also received hands-on kits containing VDW rotary files and veneer preparation burs, making the learning experience both practical and enriching.

A successful academic event dedicated to advancing clinical excellence in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry.

The Maratha Mandal’s Nathajirao G. Halgekar Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Belagavi, the Department Public Health Dentistry in collaboration with Loka Kalpa Foundation organized a free Dental Treatment Camp at Shri Siddeshwara Temple, Kakati Belagavi on 27 th July 2026.

A total of 42 beneficiaries were screened during the camp. The treatments included : Scaling: 07 patients, Extraction:04 patients, Restorations: 03 patients.

The camp was successfully conducted with the active participation of the local community benefiting the in accessible dental care.

On 22nd July 2026, the Department of Public Health Dentistry at Maratha Mandal's Nathajirao G. Halgekar Institute of Dental Sciences & Research Centre, Belagavi organized a Dental Screening Camp at Maratha Mandal Central School, Chavat Galli, commemorating the death anniversary of the institution's founder, Mr. Nathajirao G. Halgekar.

A total of 197 students underwent comprehensive oral health screening. Students requiring further dental care were advised to visit the college hospital for appropriate treatment, reinforcing our commitment to promoting oral health and preventive dental care in the community.

Maratha Mandal's Nathajirao G. Halgekar Institute of Dental Sciences & Research Centre, Belagavi, through the Department of Public Health Dentistry, successfully conducted a Dental Screening Camp at Gomatesh Jr. College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Hindawadi, Belagavi on 23 July 2026.

120 students underwent oral health screening and received guidance on maintaining good oral hygiene and the importance of regular dental check-ups. Students requiring further treatment were referred to the college hospital, reinforcing our commitment to promoting better oral health in the community.
