An interaction session was held with Dr. V. M. Pattanshetti (Registrar, KAHER) and the students who participated in the student exchange programme at AIMST University, Malaysia. The interaction was attended by Kanteshwari Kumathalli, Principal; Dr. Vinayak Kumbhojkar, Dean; Dr. Chetan Belaldavar, Coordinator for the Student Exchange Programme; and Dr. Vinuta Hampiholi, Alumni Coordinator, Malaysia Chapter.
A total of 19 students participated in the exchange programme, accompanied by two faculty members. During the interaction, Dr. Sounyala Rayannavar and Dr. Apoorva G and the students shared their experiences at AIMST University, highlighting the academic exposure, teaching-learning practices, institutional facilities, and opportunities to interact with international faculty members and students. They reflected on the knowledge and skills gained through their participation and discussed how the programme contributed to their academic, professional, and personal development.
Dr. V. M. Pattanshetti appreciated the students’ active participation and encouraged them to apply the knowledge and experiences gained during the programme to their academic pursuits. The importance of international exposure, cultural exchange, and collaborative learning in enhancing the quality of dental education was emphasized.
