Over 7,000 dental surgeons in Jammu and Kashmir are currently facing a dire situation of unemployment. This unfortunate reality stems from a significant imbalance between the supply and demand within the healthcare sector.
At J&K National Conference, we are dedicated to addressing this issue head-on by creating new job opportunities for dental surgeons in rural areas. Through strategic initiatives such as the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) schemes like the National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), Ayushman Bharat, and the School Dental Health Program, we aim to expand job avenues for dental professionals in alignment with the region’s capacity.
Furthermore, we will actively work to increase the number of sanctioned positions and implement new programs specifically designed for dental graduates in Primary Health Centers (PHCs), National Tribal Population Health Centers (NTPHCs), Community Health Centers (CHCs), and Sub-centers.
In addition, we will explore opportunities for public-private partnerships through the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) to support aspiring dental professionals in establishing reputable dental clinics throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
