A bulky labial frenum can exert continuous pull on the interdental papilla, contributing to a persistent midline black triangle between the central incisors.

In this case, a laser-assisted labial frenectomy was performed to eliminate the aberrant frenal pull while preserving surrounding soft tissue integrity.

In this case, socket preservation was carried out to support optimal bone and soft-tissue healing, followed by the use of the patient’s own extracted natural tooth as a pontic for provisionalization.

The natural tooth pontic acts as a biologic provisional—maintaining gingival contours, supporting the papilla, and providing immediate esthetics without additional lab work. It also helps guide soft-tissue healing, making the final restoration more predictable.

A vertical intrabony defect with respect to lower central incisor, thoroughly debrided to eliminate granulation tissue and establish a clean recipient bed.

Autogenous bone particles harvested from the adjacent site were mixed with allograft to enhance osteogenic potential and improve graft volume stability.

The combined graft was carefully packed into the defect, and a resorbable collagen membrane was positioned to ensure space maintenance and selective cell repopulation.

Tension-free primary closure was achieved to promote uneventful healing and predictable bone fill — demonstrating the power of regenerative periodontics in managing vertical bony defects.
