Pediatric Dental Care:

1. When should you start brushing the teeth for kids?
After the first tooth erupts.

2. Does chocolates harm the teeth?
Yes, if the remnants/left overs deposited on the teeth are not cleaned.

3. At what age teeth starts falling for the kids?
There are 2 sets of teeth. Temporary(Milk Teeth) & Permanent Dentition. There are 20 temporary teeth which starts falling from the age of 6 and continues till 13-14 years. These 20 teeth will be replaced by 28 permanent teeth. 4 wisdom teeth will erupt from the age of 16.

4. What should be done if there is no timely shedding of teeth?
Over retention of Milk Teeth leads to delayed eruption & malposition of permanent teeth. Consult the Dentist at regular intervals to monitor the same.
