Professional Background:
A dedicated and passionate dental professional, I have been practicing as a General Dentist in
Qatar for the past 10 years. Recently, I successfully completed my Clinical Diploma in
Endodontics from the UK, further strengthening my clinical expertise.

Connection to ADC Alumni Association:
Proud alumna of the 2008–2013 batch of ADC, my years at the college laid the strong
foundation for my professional journey and personal growth.

Role in the Global Chapter:
As the Global Chapter Head for the Middle East, my mission is to bridge the gap between
alumni across the region and our alma mater. Drawing from a decade-long experience in the
Gulf, I bring deep insights into the dental practice landscape across Qatar, KSA, Bahrain,
Oman, UAE, and Kuwait. This role allows me to contribute to building a stronger network
and sharing knowledge that is region-specific and culturally relevant to Arab states.

Personal Touch:
Dentistry forms one half of my identity; the other half is dance. A trained and passionate
classical dancer, I continue to pursue my art alongside my professional commitments. I’m a
mother to a spirited 6-year-old girl, and I find joy in balancing motherhood, clinical practice,
and my love for the arts while living in Qatar with my family.

Vision Statement:
To build a vibrant, connected, and empowered ADC alumni community in the Middle East
that fosters professional growth, celebrates achievements, and continuously contributes to the

Dr. Ravin Patel

Professional Background:
Dr. Patel moved to Australia in 2012 where he pursued Australian Dental Council certificate and qualified as an Australian General Dental Practitioner in the year 2013. After providing dental care in various locations including public, private and non-for-profit organisations as a general dentist for few years Dr. Patel, further honed his skills through pursuing Post Grad Diploma in Dental Implantology from prestigious James Cook University in Queensland, Australia. This specialized training, coupled with 13 years of practical experience, allows him to offer patients a comprehensive and advanced approach to dental health. Dr. Ravin Patel is settled in Sydney since past 8 years, running 2 successful dental practices with his wife Dr. Poonam Patel who is also an ADC alumina.

His formative years there provided not only a solid foundation in clinical techniques but also a commitment to ethical, patient-centred care and continuous learning. Today, Dr. Patel remains actively engaged with the ADC community, participating in alumni events, mentoring emerging professionals who is willing to make career in Australia, and contributing to collaborative initiatives. This enduring connection to his academic origins not only fuels his passion for innovation in dentistry but also reinforces his dedication to uplifting the standards of dental care in his thriving Sydney practices.

As an alumni leader in Australia, Dr. Patel is looking forward to serve as a vital connector between the ADC and its graduates. Fostering a strong network through organizing events, sharing mentorship, and promoting professional development. Dr. Anushka Rawal
Chapter Lead, New Zealand

I am a driven Public Health Promoter and qualified Dental Surgeon, working across two dental practices in Aotearoa while promoting oral and overall health at the community level. With one foot in clinical care and the other in public health advocacy, I bridge the gap between treatment and prevention, because I believe real impact happens when we treat people, not just problems.

My mission is simple yet impactful: to empower individuals to understand that health is not a luxury, it’s a foundation. Every day, I blend science with empathy, education with action, and professional care with human connection. Whether in a clinic or the community, I lead with compassion, clarity, and a fierce commitment to service.

Outside the professional sphere, I’m a proud mother to a beautiful one-year-old boy and a wife, juggling the beautiful chaos of family life with a career built on purpose. Life may be busy, but it’s deeply fulfilling, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Professional Background: She is currently working as a Dental therapist at Cosmetic Dental Group in Jersey, Channel Islands

Practiced as a General Dental surgeon for 3 years in India and then moved to UK. Currently working as a Dental hygienist and therapist but hoping to clear my Overseas Registration Exam (ORE) to practice as a dentist in the UK in the near future.

Graduated with Bachelor's in Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from ADC in October 2020. "I tried my best to stay in touch with colleagues and the professors and I hope that ADC alumni association makes it even easier to keep contacts with everyone."

"I moved to the UK in 2023 and I would have been scared to do this for my career if it wasn't for all the help, support and guidance that I receive from my seniors and fellow batch mates. I would love to do the same thing for any of my fellow colleagues from ADC who are hoping or even just looking to explore their option of settling in the UK and I think that ADC alumni association is just the right way to make it possible.

I love dancing, swimming, reading and exploring new places.

I look forward to doing my best to create a strong network among fellow professionals and create new learning experiences with lasting relationships."

Professional Journey:
I graduated in 2018 and later moved to Canada to explore exciting opportunities. Over the past five years, I built a fulfilling career at Walmart, starting in an entry-level position and eventually getting the opportunity to become a Co-Manager. This experience strengthened my leadership, teamwork, and management skills. Now, I have reconnected with my passion for dentistry and am continuing my education at Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene to become a Dental Hygienist.

Connection to ADC Alumni:
I deeply appreciate the education and experiences that have shaped my journey. Staying connected with fellow alumni is important to me, and I look forward to actively contributing to this vibrant community.

Role in Global Chapter:
As the Head of the Canada Chapter for the ADC Alumni Association, my mission is to unite alumni, foster meaningful connections, and create opportunities for both professional and personal growth. I am dedicated to organizing meetups, networking events, and mentorship programs to support ADC graduates in Canada.

Personal:
Beyond dentistry, I have a deep passion for music and dance. I am a professional Garba dancer and have led Garba classes, sharing my love for this cultural art form. Additionally, I play 9 musical instruments, including the saxophone, aerophone, and melodica. Music and dance have always been integral to my life, allowing me to connect with people and celebrate culture.

Professional Background: Periodontology resident at University of Alberta, Canada. Instructor for ADAT exam at JADE courses. Practiced as a Periodontist for 4 years in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Periodontics and GP practice in Ahmedabad from 2009-2017.

Connection to ADC Alumni Association: Graduated from ADC in 2016 as MDS in Periodontology, passionate about alumni networking and professional growth.

Role in the Global Chapter: Strengthen alumni ties, organize meetups, and create professional growth opportunities for ADC alumni in Canada.

Professional Background: Following my completion of an MDS in Pediatric Dentistry, I relocated to the United States to pursue new opportunities. I am currently applying to dental schools and exploring alternative career paths in dentistry, while also gaining hands-on experience by shadowing at dental clinics. I also obtained licence as a Registered Dental Assistant in Texas, expanding my professional credentials.

Connection to ADC Alumni Association: I embarked on my dental journey at ADC (2011-2016), graduating with a BDS degree. Remaining committed to my alma mater, I have been an active alumnus. I also had the privilege of serving as a tutor in the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology (2016-2018), allowing me to contribute to the growth of future dental professionals.
Role in the Global Chapter: As Chapter Head, my primary goal is to foster a vibrant ADC alumni community in the USA, centred on meaningful connections, collaborative opportunities, and reciprocal support. I plan to design and deliver impactful events, mentorship programs, and strategic partnerships, ultimately strengthening the bonds within our ADC Alumni family in the United States.

Personal Touch: Beyond my career, I am a people person who thrives on building new relationships and connections. I am also a travel enthusiast, always looking to explore new horizons, immerse myself in different cultures, and experience the beauty of nature through hiking and outdoor adventures.
