Pepper and salt.
Salt and pepper.
Now mostly salt — with a few rebel strands of pepper holding on. 😊
At 48, I chose not to color my greys.
Not to hide. Not to pretend.
It wasn’t easy. I was called “grandpa” more than once.
Until one day… it stopped mattering.
Today, mid-flight from Chicago to Orlando, a flight attendant leaned in and said,
“Your grey strands are beautiful. They suit you beyond words.”
She said one day, when her hair silvers too, she’ll remember me — and stay natural.
I smiled. Not for the compliment.
But because life quietly reminded me:
✨ Be natural. Be mindful. Be unapologetically you. ✨
