Aesthetic therapy following implant removal in the maxillary anterior zone.
 
A 32 old female presented to the clinic with marginal tissue recession on an implant recently placed at the right lateral incisor site. The implant was severely inclined and involved with moderate periimplantitis.
 
Treatment included:
1.implant removal
2.Guided bone regeneration .
3.Soft tissue augmentation (in two consecutive grafting sessions).
4.Pontic site development
5. #11 reshaping morphology with composite (Enamel Plus HRi - Micerium)
6.A Zirkonia single wing adhesive bridge connected to tooth #13.
7. #22 - Zirkonia Crown.
 
Conclusion:
Implants placed at the extremely narrow ridge (typically found at the maxillary lateral incisor site) are usually positioned with buccal inclination that calls for marginal soft and hard tissue loss. These implants should be removed and not replaced with a new implant. Instead, a decision to restore the missing tooth with a tooth supported bridge should be done. At the maxillary lateral site the pontic maybe successfully supported by a single wing adhesive bridge connected to the stable neighboring canine tooth.
