Let's talk about

We at Stillorgan Village Dental are constantly adopting new practises to reduce our plastic, carbon and water footprint. Here are some of our initiatives:

1. Our digital x-ray system eliminates need for conventional lead foil film packs and unused fixer (70% to 90% less radiation also).

2. We operate using a computer based system incorporating digital charts, text reminders and receipts via email where possible to reduce paper usage.

3. We use an energy and water efficient steam sterilisation unit to achieve high levels of sterility, allowing us to reuse equipment and reducing our waste load.

4. Aim to get families in together, and incorporate multiple treatment items in one booking where required so to minimise travel for appointments.

We are always looking to improve our sustainable practises. We welcome any suggestions or questions you may have!

TePe interdental brushes have gone sustainable, reportedly decreasing their carbon footprint by 80% by switching to pine oil for manufacturing.

Interdental brushes are a fantastic tool to make sure you clean in between your teeth to keep that pesky plaque away!

By replacing fossil raw material with fossil-free pine oils, we have reduced the carbon footprint of our interdental brushes by 80% – without compromising on product quality, efficiency or design.

is a start up business aiming to promote sustainability in dentistry by providing a 100% sustainable alternative to the plastic and bamboo toothbrushes and other products currently on the market.
When we say fully sustainable we mean:
1. No plastic in the product at all
2. Reduced production levels by providing reusable handles and replaceable heads only
3. Use of waste materials from breweries, distilleries etc. to fabricate a bioplastic that can be used for toothbrush heads/bristles and composted when finished with.
