Everybody say hello to Roisin! 👋

Roisin joined the team here at O'Connor Moore Dental as a Dental Nurse back in April. Originally from Co. Tyrone, she qualified from South West College in 2023 and has since built up brilliant experience in another dental practice, covering reception, front of house, patient care, and dental implant nursing. 🦷

She is passionate about delivering top-quality care and is so good at helping patients feel comfortable and at ease from start to finish of their dental journey. ✨

Roisin arrived with us fresh from travelling around Australia, and she has brought all that great energy with her! She is a brilliant team player with a real enthusiasm for dentistry, and she is looking forward to getting to know all of our patients. 🌏

When she is not with us, Roisin is into rallying and farming, loves being outdoors with family and friends, and is a devoted Tyrone GAA supporter who never misses the celebrations when they come around! 🔴⚪

Say hello to Rachael! 👋

Rachael is one of the friendly faces you will meet at reception here at OCM Dental. She is new to the world of dentistry but comes to us with over seven years of experience in administration, so she is wonderfully organised and knows exactly how to look after people. ✨

After five years living out in Canada, Rachael came home in April and tells us she feels very lucky to have landed with such a supportive and friendly team. The feeling is very much mutual! 🇨🇦

Helpful, warm, and compassionate by nature, Rachael absolutely thrives as part of a team and loves the relationships she has built with both her colleagues and our patients. Her cheerful manner makes her the loveliest person to be greeted by. 💛

When she is not with us, Rachael is out in the fresh air, off hiking somewhere or planning her next adventure, because she has a serious love of travel! ⛰️

Meet the woman keeping us all in line, our Practice Manager Lisa-Marie! 🌟

Lisa-Marie joined O'Connor Moore Dental in February 2026 and looks after the day-to-day running of the practice. She is passionate about creating a welcoming, well-organised space where patients and staff alike feel supported and valued, and it shows in absolutely everything she does. 💫

A proud Sligo woman from Collooney, Lisa-Marie is an ATU Sligo graduate with a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and holds a Master of Business Management from Norwegian Business School. She spent nine years living and working in Norway in the beauty and health industry before coming home to Ireland in late 2019, and she brings over 18 years of management and administration experience with her. Talk about a CV! 👏

She is a natural leader who thrives on teamwork and genuinely loves working with people, and we are all the better for it. 💛

When she is not with us, Lisa-Marie has a great eye for fashion and style, loves a ladies' day at the races, and is out hiking the local mountains or on the sideline cheering on her boys at the GAA. ⛰️

We are so lucky to have you, Lisa-Marie! 🥳

Sunday 20 September is Mouth Cancer Awareness Day! 🩵

It runs as part of the Irish Cancer Society and HSE awareness campaigns, and the message is a simple one: early detection makes a real difference.

Mouth, head and neck cancers are far more treatable when they're caught early, and the signs are things you can keep an eye on yourself.

Book your screening if you are experiencing these for a prolonged period of time:
✨ An ulcer or sore that won't heal
✨ Red or white patches inside the mouth you can't explain
✨ A lump or swelling in the mouth, jaw or neck
✨ Difficulty chewing, swallowing or speaking
✨ A sore throat or hoarseness that won't budge

Time to shine a light on Mira! ✨

Mira has been a much-loved part of the team at OCM Dental since 2017, and we genuinely don't know what we would do without her! She qualified as a Dental Nurse from Trinity College Dublin in 2016, where she was named Best Student of the Year, so she came to us with the credentials to match the talent. 🏆

Never one to sit still, Mira went on to complete courses in dental radiography and conscious sedation with us in 2019. She has a real love of problem-solving and is famously organised, so if something needs sorting, Mira is the one you want in your corner! 💪

Originally from Slovakia, Mira is fluent in Slovak, Polish, and Czech, which has been such a help to patients and colleagues alike. 🌍

Warm, brilliant at what she does, and endlessly patient, Mira is truly one in a million. We are so lucky to have her! 💛

Say hello to Karen! 👋

Karen joined us at OCM Dental back in June as one of our lovely Receptionists, and she has been brightening up the place ever since. With over 12 years of experience in administration and retail, she knows a thing or two about looking after people! ✨

An absolute ray of sunshine, Karen brings brilliant energy, plenty of laughter and a wicked sense of humour to the practice. She loves getting to know our patients and making sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease from the moment they arrive. There is never a dull moment when Karen is around! 😄

Fair warning: Karen is a massive music lover and a die-hard Bon Jovi fan, so if she gets control of the playlist, you might just hear a bit of Livin' on a Prayer at reception! 🎸

When she is not with us, you will find Karen with her nose in a book, knitting away, or out on a long walk with her beloved pooch Rolo. 🐶

Heather has joined the team at OCM Dental as our new Dental Receptionist, and honestly, we could not be happier to have her. She is bubbly, outgoing, and always ready with a smile, so you are guaranteed a warm welcome the second you walk through our doors! 😁

With over five years of customer service experience behind her and a background in makeup and beauty, Heather knows exactly how to look after people and make everyone feel comfortable. If you are someone who gets a little nervous about the dentist, Heather is your girl. She will have you chatting and laughing before you know it! 💛

She is brand new to dentistry and buzzing to get stuck in and learn everything she can. Fun fact: she also spent a whole year living in New Zealand, so she is well used to throwing herself into something new! 🌏

When she is not at the front desk, you will find Heather out horse riding, listening to music, out in the fresh air, or making memories with her family and friends. 🐴🎶
