*🏆 BARTON CUP SEMI-FINAL 🏆*
PORTARLINGTON ARE IN THE FINAL!
76 years after their last appearance, Portarlington are back in a Barton Cup Final!
And what a way to get there.
With Bray having home advantage, Portarlington knew they would need a huge performance — and the team delivered when it mattered most.
The opening match saw Iain MacDonald & Aidan Moore set the tone. After a cagey start with the first three holes halved, Portarlington began to find their rhythm, winning the 4th and 6th to establish an early advantage. They eventually held their nerve to close out a hard-fought 2&1 victory.
Then came Niall Cooke & David Cosgrove, who produced the performance of the day.
A dominant display saw them pull clear and eventually seal an emphatic 6&5 victory, putting Portarlington firmly in control of the semi-final.
But Bray weren't going to surrender easily, they were ahead in all 3 home games, with everything resting on the third match where Dylan Dunne & Colin Murphy found themselves in a real battle.
Bray edged ahead early and, after 14 holes, Portarlington were 1 down.
Then came the finish.
15th — Port win.
16th — Port win.
17th — Port win.
Three holes. Three wins. Match over.
A sensational finish from Dylan and Colin secured a 2&1 victory — and with that, Portarlington had won the semi-final.
The remaining two matches were called in once the result was beyond doubt.
But the job was already done.
PORTARLINGTON ARE BARTON CUP FINALISTS! 🏆

From the opening round to this semi-final, this team has shown incredible resilience, belief and togetherness.
