We have received a number of calls recently from patients who are concerned that their appointments may not be going ahead due to the updated restrictions.

We are continuing to see all patients as planned and no appointments have been postponed. We are following advice from the Irish Dental Council & the Irish Dental Association.

Our additional safety measures are in place and if you have any questions about attending your appointment please give us a ring on 02253344.

We are thinking of those in our community who are unwell, those who feel isolated going into the weeks of restrictions that we have ahead and the many businesses that have been affected by this recent announcement.

If any of our patients are struggling out there and if we can help in some way please get in touch πŸ’“

There has never been a better time to support the local businesses that are unable to stay open. We will be helping out by eating lots of delicious take aways over the next few weeks πŸ˜‹ and keeping our Christmas shopping local when hopefully things open up again πŸ™πŸ»

As so with many types of cancers early diagnosis of mouth cancer gives you the best chance to beat it πŸ’ͺ🏻

Visit your dentist regularly for routine examinations of your mouth and attend if you have any unusual lumps and bumps that do not resolve on their own.

To help with today's call to action,

1. Check your mouth before you brush your teeth.

2. If you have a sore, ulcer, lump in your mouth, a sore throat or neck lump for more than 3 weeks, get checked by a dentist or doctor within 7 days.

3. Visit your dentist regularly, at least once a year, even if you have no teeth and wear dentures. 9 out of 10 adults in Ireland are entitled to a FREE oral exam, please check your entitlements on www.citizensinformation.ie

Thank you to all of you who have been so understanding over the last few weeks πŸ’•

We are continuing to see emergency dental issues as needed. Our priority is the safety of our patients and staff so we are unable to see patients unless they have been triaged over the phone prior to arrival at the clinic.

We want to reassure you that we are taking all possible precautions to limit the transmission of the covid 19. We appreciate your support to enable us to provide dental care in the safest possible manner during this time.

We can’t wait to get back to restoring beautiful smiles and thank you for your understanding in this difficult time. Stay Safe. β€οΈπŸ™πŸ»

Happy Easter 🐣 to all of our patients! We know the last few weeks have raised difficulties for everyone - whether you have been working on the front line or missing family and friends ❀️ We are looking forward to seeing you all again soon once we get through this πŸ™πŸ»
In the mean time we have a few tips to help you look after your teeth this Easter!
#1. Don’t brush straight after eating chocolate. The sugar can soften enamel so wait for 30minutes before brushing.
#2. Instead it is a good idea to drink water or use fluoride mouthwash (not for under 6yr olds) to reduce sugar residue on the teeth.
#3. Do not graze on chocolate throughout the day- ideally reduce sugar consumption to straight after meals. The higher the frequency of sugar the more the teeth are under attack!
#4. Leave toothpaste on the teeth after brushing to let the fluoride sink in and help to prevent cavities.
