A worried patient emailed us on a Saturday 😟🚨 Dr Lobna called her back on Sunday afternoon ☎️ That's what care looks like at Keystone 💚 We're here when you need us, not just during clinic hours 🚨

Long story short, she'd had a sinus lift, and the recovery was hitting her hard. Sinus lifts are usually routine procedures, but recovery looks different for everyone😷 Our job is to make sure no one feels alone in that process. 💚

This one is about something we don't talk about enough 🦷 We know you brush your teeth. Most people do. But there's a big difference between brushing and brushing well❗

At Keystone, we don't focus on how many times a day you brush. We focus on the quality - teaching you the right technique for your teeth, your gums, and your specific situation.

When we bring you back for your maintenance visits, improving your home care is a core part of your treatment. Changing habits take time. This may take a few visits, a bit of trial and error, and a lot of patience. That's part of the process. Sometimes that maintenance is shared between your dentist and us. Here's something important to remember: Either way, we're here to support your general dentist - not to replace them 🦷💙

Have you been referred to a periodontist? Here's something important to understand: A periodontist doesn't replace your dentist. We work alongside them.💙

Your dentist is responsible for your overall oral health - your check-ups, your fillings, your yearly visits. That doesn't change. What we do at Keystone Perio is we step in for the specialist treatment your dentist isn't ready to provide - advanced gum disease, bone loss, and complex cases that need a different level of care.

Think of it like your GP and a hospital consultant. Both are essential, but they work at different levels.

One thing that sets periodontal treatment apart from other specialist care is that it doesn't end after one or two visits. Gum disease is a chronic condition. After your active treatment, we monitor you, check for signs of relapse, and make sure the disease stays under control. That's what we call the maintenance phase.

Sometimes that maintenance is shared between your dentist and us. Either way, we're here to support your general dentist - not to replace them 🦷💙

Yes it does take time but honestly the results are well worth it. Special word also for Abdul and all at the front desk, they were super friendly and accommodating with appointment times and days.
