✨ Exciting times ahead! ✨

We are absolutely delighted to be getting our new clinic in Little Island, Cork, up and running.

This is already a well-established and highly respected dental clinic, previously owned and run by Dr Claire Rath. Dr Rath built an outstanding practice, cared for her patients with dedication and professionalism, and created a fantastic team. We would like to congratulate Dr Claire Rath on her recent retirement and wish her every happiness in this new chapter.

Over the coming months, we are looking forward to investing in the clinic, introducing new equipment, renovating and modernising the facilities, and building on the fantastic foundations that are already in place. Most importantly, we are excited to continue supporting the existing team while growing and expanding our services.

Our vision is to provide a full range of high-quality dental treatments in a welcoming, patient-focused environment for the Little Island and wider Cork community.

This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to share the journey with you.

Stay tuned and watch this exciting transformation unfold! 🦷✨

Thank you so much, Anne, for your beautiful testimonial. 💙

At our Castlebar clinic, we pride ourselves on making every patient feel welcome, comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

We truly are a family practice. On the very same day Anne visited us, we also treated a brave little three year old girl. From tiny smiles to lifelong patients, everyone is welcome here. 🦷✨

The incredible feedback we’ve received from the Mayo community means the world to us, and we are so grateful for the trust and support.

Thinking about a hip replacement? 🦴
Don’t forget about your dental health before surgery.

Many people are surprised to learn that untreated dental infections or gum disease can increase the risk of complications after a joint replacement. Bacteria from the mouth can enter the bloodstream and potentially affect a new artificial joint.

Before your hip replacement, it’s important to:
✔️ Have a dental check-up
✔️ Treat any infections, abscesses, or gum disease
✔️ Ensure your mouth is healthy before surgery

Good oral health is not just about your teeth, it’s part of your overall health and recovery.

If you’re scheduled for orthopaedic surgery, now is the perfect time to book your dental assessment.

✨ Smile Transformation Journey ✨

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of fitting Caroline’s beautiful new four-unit bridge 🤍

Using advanced digital scanning and E.max porcelain, we created a bridge that looks incredibly natural and fitted perfectly, with ZERO adjustments needed 🙌

After allowing 3 months of healing following her extractions, we could ensure the gum and bone had fully settled before creating her final smile restoration.

Next step, implant planning for the missing back teeth using 3D CBCT technology 🦷✨

It’s such a privilege to help patients regain their confidence and smile again 😊

I was absolutely delighted to fit this bridge for Caroline today.

When Caroline first came to me last year, she had avoided the dentist for decades. We diagnosed chronic disease in the lower teeth, and there were some difficult decisions to make.

On paper, two more of the teeth probably could have been extracted. But dentistry is not always black and white. Sometimes, it comes down to clinical judgement, understanding the patient, and choosing the right treatment for that individual person.

For Caroline, the right decision at this stage was a four-unit bridge supported by her existing natural teeth. Today, the bridge fitted beautifully, and we cemented it in with resin cement.

We also took scans and a CBCT image, as the next step is to begin planning how we can restore the missing teeth at the back.

As always, Caroline has been an absolute pleasure to work with. She has worked so hard at maintaining her oral health and has transformed into a really motivated patient, willing to put in the time and effort to care for her new teeth.

That matters hugely to me. Quick fixes are not always the best solution. I want to make sure we can monitor patients properly and that they are able to care for, maintain, and protect this important work long-term.

I also want to thank Caroline for helping to break down the stigma around wearing dentures. There is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. So many people wear dentures, and for some patients they are a brilliant solution.

There are other options available too, but treatment is never one size fits all. We are not here to judge or criticise, we are here to help patients, whether they want something different, or simply want to stabilise and maintain what they are happy with.

😁 Missing teeth? You have more options than you might think.

Metal-based dentures are strong, hygienic, and designed for comfort. They’ve been used successfully for decades and remain a reliable solution today.

With treatment starting from €1500, they can be a very practical and affordable way to restore your smile.

The most important thing is that you’re given all your options, not just the most expensive ones.
