Hello Friends.
(We posted this yesterday and it seems to have disappeared, so …... try again!)
Firstly, welcome and a Huge thank you to all who contacted us during the first 2.5 months of the CV19 shutdown. We were absolutely delighted at the calls, texts, and emails we received, again many thanks for the good wishes and kind words of support.
We are pleased to say that we have reopened the clinic and are slowly bringing ourselves up to speed with both the Dental and Facial Aesthetics areas of the practice. Please bear with us while we adjust to our new reality.
We have been busy on several fronts during the ‘lockdown’.
A considerable number of patients required support which we were pleased to provide, the majority with telephone consultations, appropriate reassurance, advice and medication as required. A smaller number could not be managed in this way and those patients were seen and treated at the clinic.
We have taken on board all the advices and requirements from the Irish Dental Council, Irish Dental Association, various government health authorities and advisory bodies from at home and abroad relating to the provision of dental services. We have integrated these into our practice so we can continue to provide the same high standards of treatment in an environment that provides maximum protection to both patients and staff.
These include but are not limited to:
Staff temperatures taken twice daily and also screened for CV19 symptoms.
Pre appointment screening by phone to assess CV19 risk status of patients.
Temperature taken, and alcohol sanitisers to be used, at point of entry with appropriate protocols in place in the event of a high temp reading.
Longer appointment times.
Patients requested to arrive 3-5minutes before appointment time in order to minimise waiting time.
Seating arranged so that social distancing is easily and comfortably arranged.
Perspex safety barrier installed in the front office.
All contact surfaces wiped or sprayed with disinfectant repeatedly thru-out the day.
Airflow thru-out the building is managed by delivering filtered/heated fresh air from an air handling unit via sealed ducts to individual rooms. This air then exits the same room to the outside under pressure via slightly opened windows. This ensures no stagnant or recirculating air and no air exchange between rooms thus reducing further any risk of infection.
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) has been sourced with FFP3 respirator masks for operator and nurse during all invasive and aerosol generating procedures along with single use aprons/gowns/eye protection/gloves etc as appropriate.
If we can be of assistance please feel free to call reception on 01-8373714 or email [email protected]. If you are one of the ‘at risk’ groups and are continuing to cocoon as advised we entirely support you in this regard. If problems or concerns arise please feel free to contact the clinic and we will be pleased to support you in any way we can.
Kind Regards and Stay Safe.
Xx Cahill Dental Team.
