It was International Dog Day on Wednesday 🐾, so it felt like the perfect time to share a little update from our practice mascot, Rudi! 🥰

Rudi recently took a well-earned day off to visit his dentist, have his oral hygiene checked, and make sure his oral health was on track. 🦷

The good news is Rudi is back in great form again ready to continue his mascot duties at SOP. 😄

A good reminder that regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene matter for everyone especially patients who are in orthodontic treatment! 🧚🏻‍♀️

Smile goal achieved! 🔥

This patient came to us with a Class III bite, where the lower teeth were positioned further forward in relation to the upper teeth. There was also a mild tendency for the front teeth to remain slightly open, affecting how the upper and lower teeth met together.🦷

Following a full assessment and discussion of the treatment options, we planned comprehensive orthodontic treatment to align the teeth and improve the bite. ✨🧚🏻‍♀️

Treatment was completed over approximately 24 months using:
✅ Fixed braces
✅ Elastics to help correct the Class III bite and improve the way the teeth meet

A great result, with improved alignment, bite function and overall smile balance. 💯
