We have an exciting new position for a dental receptionist/nurse to join our wonderful team in Family Dental Rathfarnham Village. This role is available to start in April 2023 and full-time or part-time hours can be offered.

The role encompasses a variety of administration duties which promote effective and efficient operation of our busy dental practice.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

- Providing a high standard of customer service to all patients
- Daily general reception and administrative duties
- Helping patients with queries and questions they may have about dental treatments
- Answering high volume of calls and emails
- Booking and rescheduling appointments
- Taking payments
- Organising the dentists and hygienists’ diaries
- Dental Insurance forms

The ideal candidate will have excellent front of house customer service and telephone skills, attention to detail, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. With a minimum of 2 years reception experience.

Dental nurse experience is a distinct advantage as the role may be extended to include dental nursing duties if and when required.

The candidate must demonstrate excellent team, inter-personal and organisational skills.

Fluent written and spoken English essential.

A competitive salary will be offered (depending on experience and qualifications).

We are thrilled to announce that Clodagh O’Dowd with be joining our Family Dental team at the start of August. Clodagh is a very experienced hygienist and is passionate about ensuring her patients are offered the best dental hygiene tailored to their individual needs.

Everyone benefits from regular hygiene visits but a recent CDC report has found that 47.2% of adults aged 30 years and older have some form of gum (periodontal) disease.

In its more serious form, called periodontitis, the gums can pull away from the tooth, bone can be lost, and the teeth may loosen or even fall out.

The good news is that this can be prevented or controlled with early diagnosis when treated with good oral hygiene and regular professional cleaning.
