We are Peter Doyle Dental Centre, 11-12 John Street, Sligo and Summerhill Dental, Centre, Ck on Shannon, Co Leitrim. The practice in Ck on Shannon was bought by Dr Doyle in 2000 having worked there for 3 years. We moved into our current modern 3 surgery practice in 2006. Peter took over the Wine Street practice in 2008 from Dr Shea McMahon who was retiring after 35 years of providing caring family

• Full case assessment:
A thorough examination of your mouth and teeth with any necessary xrays, a medial history questionnaire and an oral cancer screening. Our aim is to carefully assess your dental health and identify any dental diseases, eg, decay, periodontal disease, tooth wear, or risk factors, eg, smoking, diabetes, all of which will affect your ability to keep your teeth for life
• Prevention:
Advice and treatment from our dentists and hygienists to control or eliminate any dental diseases identified in your examination. This is the key to a lifetime of full dental health.
• Treatment:
We will discuss with your what treatment is required to improve your dental health. This includes a wide range of possible dental treatments such as, fillings, root treatments, periodontal (gum) treatment with your dentist or hygienist, crowns, etc.
• Maintenance:
Regular follow up care with your dentist and hygienist to help you maintain your dental health.
• Enhancement / Long term treatment:
Ideally having completed the above steps we may discuss a long term plan with you including ways to improve your smile with cosmetic treatments or crowning heavily filled or root treated teeth to increase their longevity. We firmly believe that all dental treatment should be pain free and we are confident that we can make your visits as comfortable as possible.
