One of the many solutions to fix discolored tooth is composite veneers or known also as bonding. In this case, our dentist did composite veneer on one of the front tooth.

It may not perfect since it needed a root canal treatment and also internal bleaching in order to make the entire tooth color whiter first, but it’s an improvement for sure. 🙌🏽

Salah satu solusi untuk memperbaiki gigi depan yang berubah warna adalah komposit veneer. Pada kasus ini, dokter gigi kami melakukan komposi veneer untuk salah satu gigi depan pasien.

Hasil belum sempurna karena diperlukan perawatan saluran akar dan juga bleaching internal untuk mengubah warna gigi tersebut sebelum diveneer, tapi pasien sudah merasa cukup dengan perubahan ini. 🙌🏽

After inserting the gutta percha and sealing the canal, the next and final step of giving this tooth another chance is the restoration phase.

Depending on the condition, our dentist would suggest several methods of restoring the tooth. If the tooth is not widely damaged and the tooth structure is adequate, regular filling will be advised.

But if the tooth is cracked, or widely damaged, normally there won't be enough tooth structure left. In this case, our dentist will suggest indirect restorations (inlay, onlay, crown) in order to protect the tooth for the long term.

Setelah memasukkan guttap percha dan menutup saluran akar, langkah selanjutnya dan terakhir dari memberikan kesempatan lain pada gigi ini adalah fase restorasi.

Tergantung pada kondisinya, dokter gigi kami akan menyarankan beberapa metode untuk memulihkan gigi. Jika gigi tidak rusak secara luas dan struktur gigi memadai, penambalan secara teratur akan disarankan.

Tetapi jika gigi retak, atau rusak parah, biasanya tidak akan ada cukup struktur gigi yang tersisa. Dalam hal ini, dokter gigi kami akan menyarankan restorasi tidak langsung (inlay, onlay, mahkota) untuk melindungi gigi untuk jangka panjang.

After 7-14 days of medication and temporary filling, our dentist will continue the treatment by once again cleaning the whole tooth and root canals.

If it’s clean enough and there are no symptoms at all experienced by the patients, the next step is to fill the canals inside the tooth with a material called gutta percha and special sealing material. This is to ensure that the canal is sealed perfectly and under these circumstances, bacteria will no longer be able to live.

Shown in the picture is a step called guttap percha trial, in which our dentist measures the length and the size of the gutta percha, before permanently inserting it into the tooth. Precision, precision.

Setelah 7-14 hari pengobatan dan penambalan sementara, dokter gigi kami akan melanjutkan perawatan dengan sekali lagi membersihkan seluruh gigi dan saluran akar.

Jika sudah cukup bersih dan tidak ada gejala sama sekali yang dialami pasien, langkah selanjutnya adalah mengisi saluran di dalam gigi dengan bahan yang disebut gutta percha dan bahan penutup khusus. Hal ini untuk memastikan bahwa saluran tertutup dengan sempurna dan dalam keadaan seperti ini, bakteri tidak akan dapat hidup lagi.

When the tooth is damaged so badly and the decay has reached the nerve inside the tooth, we couldn’t just put regular fillings because it would worsen the tooth infection. Other than just pulling out the tooth (which we can do if the patient asks for it), the other way is saving the tooth by performing a root canal treatment.

The first step of root canal treatment is shown in the picture above, where our conservative specialist dentist would drill onto the tooth and get into the pulp chamber where the nerves are located, in order to gain access to the root canals. After that, the nerves inside are cleaned and the root canals are irrigated.

After this first visit, normally the pain would cease and a temporary filling + medication will be placed on the tooth.

Ketika gigi rusak parah dan pembusukan telah mencapai saraf di dalam gigi, kita tidak bisa hanya melakukan penambalan biasa karena akan memperburuk infeksi gigi. Selain hanya mencabut gigi (yang bisa kita lakukan jika pasien meminta), cara lainnya adalah menyelamatkan gigi dengan melakukan perawatan saluran akar.

Langkah pertama perawatan saluran akar ditunjukkan pada gambar di atas, di mana dokter gigi spesialis konservatif kami akan mengebor gigi dan masuk ke ruang pulpa tempat saraf berada, untuk mendapatkan akses ke saluran akar. Setelah itu, saraf di dalam dibersihkan dan saluran akar diairi.

Setelah kunjungan pertama ini, biasanya rasa sakit akan hilang dan tambalan sementara + obat akan ditempatkan pada gigi.

Missing tooth (or teeth) is one of the most common problems. if not replaced, this could lead to several more complicated problems, such as difficulty in chewing, the migration of other neighboring teeth, and malocclusion.
When the time or budget is limited, we can use removable dentures. It is also a great option to restore both the aesthetic and also functional aspect of the teeth. We use only the best material for dentures, as seen in the picture, the color and shape blends very nicely with the other teeth.

We all know that we can treat a cavity or tooth decay with a filling. But sometimes, when the teeth are affected badly, there is simply not enough tooth structure left and therefore, just a simple filling wouldn’t be enough.
In that case, dental crowns will be needed to cover the entire surface of the tooth and give the tooth a new and better aesthetical appearance. Dental crown also can be applied in a case where there isn’t any decay occurred, but patient demands more aesthetics or aligned teeth without having to use braces.
