What is the course of in-office teeth whitening? 🤔

1. In-office teeth whitening is always preceded by professional tartar removal.
2. After placing the mouth spreader, the gums are isolated and protected with a material that is hardened by light. The tongue and jaw are protected by the mouthpiece and special woven materials with high absorbent capacity.
3. Both the patient and the dental hygienist are given protective glasses.
4. Teeth whitening consists of three 15-minute sessions. During this, we apply teeth whitening gel to the surface of the tooth and illuminate it with a lamp that emits UV light. As a result of the light, the applied hydrogen peroxide-containing substance (gel) removes the discolourations on the surface of the tooth and in its deeper layers. At the end of the 15-minute cycles, we apply new teeth whitening gel and check on the material used to isolate the tongue and cheek.

How is tartar removed? 🤔

Tartar removal is preceded by a consultation and dental screening at our clinic. During this, the dentist will discuss the course of treatment with you and provide you with a treatment and cost plan.

During tartar removal, the ultrasonic device separates the deposited plaque, discoloration and tartar from the tooth surface, while washing and cooling the teeth with water. Due to the treatment, the surface of the tooth can be scratched, which can cause tartar to reoccur more quickly.

What are the steps of root canal treatment? 🤔

Root canal treatment is a dental procedure during which damaged or infected tooth pulp is replaced with a root filling under local anesthesia. The process is as follows:
1. A panoramic X-ray or an intraoral X-ray is taken before starting the root canal treatment.

What is tartar? 🤔
