🇵🇭Stepping back from my recent trip to Manila for the Teach the Teachers Educational Workshop (TTEW), I feel deeply grateful and emotionally moved by everything we lived together there.
Being part of this workshop, built entirely on the IAPD consensus recommendations, reminded me how powerful it is when we all speak the same scientific “language” and share the same evidence-based principles for the benefit of our little patients.
🤝The TTEW in Manila was a vivid example of how close IAPD stands to its national member societies. We truly function as one big family. Whenever a national society needs scientific support and asks for it, the IAPD is there – present, active and fully committed. In the Philippines, this bond was felt in every session, every discussion, every smile.
🤩The Philippine Pediatric Dental Society, Inc. (PPDSI) truly impressed me. The level of organization and professionalism was outstanding – every detail of the scientific programme and logistics reflected care, dedication and respect for education. The eagerness of the participants, their questions and their openness to share experiences created a true learning community.
♥️But what touched me the most was the warm hospitality of our Filipino colleagues. Their kindness, constant smiles, generosity and the way they proudly shared the beauty of their country made this trip unforgettable. Beyond lectures and workshops, we had the privilege to experience their culture, landscapes and heartfelt welcome.
🔥I am honoured to have participated as an IAPD Board Member, alongside IAPD President Dr Soni Stephen and Secretary General Dr Anna Maria Vierrou, in a workshop powered by the valued support of Ultradent Products, Inc. and SDI Limited.
🌏This journey to Manila was not just another professional obligation. It was a reminder of why we do what we do: to stand together, as one global paediatric dentistry family, supporting each other so that we can better support the children and families we serve.
