Sometimes you need to choose your battles..
On this instance our patient spent the past 8 months correcting her crooked teeth with aligners.
Even though everything was corrected as planned, her 2 upper canines couldn’t get in place , no matter how many trays we made .
So we decided to make two minimal prep hybrid ceramic translucent veneers using SprintRay Midas 3D printing press.
The procedure took us one appointment and 8 minutes for printing both veneers out of a single Midas ceramic crown HT cartridge.
We used no stains and colours , just good old intraoral polish after cementation.
3D printing technology gives solutions that were unheard just couple of years ago.
is a must no matter the material!

Situation after aligners , #13,23

Preop intraoral

Minimal veneers prep

Final intraoral situation, intraoral hand polished, no stains.

What if I told you that you can print multi shade implant restorations on a single print ?
With Midas 3D printing press we were able to split the implant restoration on a dentin Inner part and enamel outer cell and print everything simultaneously with different Midas cartridges.
We used the ceramic crown opaque cartridge for the inner part to mask the colour of the Ti-base and the brand new HT ceramic crown translucent cartridge for the outer part !
The outcome is much more natural that the monolithic restorations we used to do with just the opaque ceramic crown material and we needed much less time to characterise it.
What a time to be a dentist🤩

IPG is not only for cross arch cases .
It’s a great option for scanning splinted implants on abutment level.
We can also mix them on the same scan with regular scanning flags for single implant restorations .

Sometimes patients come to the office just days after they had an unsuccessful previous treatment from another dentist .
This case is just like that.. the patient was proposed to do composite veneers by a dentist to enlarge her teeth .. not considering occlusion, function, biology and aesthetics.
The veneers broke hours after making leaving the patient in distress.
Breaking was a bless, because she understood the mistake she made going through this treatment on the first place.
So we decided to correct this mistake removing the composite and plan IPS veneers handcrafted by .
Now the patient has the enhanced natural appearance that was seeking in the first place.😄
