When the CQC became a regulator of dental practices I became quite ‘geeky’ about compliance. I have since assisted multiple practises in passing their announced CQC inspections. I have guided and supported new practices with their initial CQC applications through to fina

l registration by helping them understand and meet the CQC fundamental Standards and demonstrating the key lines of enquiry. Every practice is unique, so my work is never dull.

It was great to be in a room with providers, stakeholders, organisations representing people who use services, and CQC colleagues — all contributing to important conversations around the future of assessment frameworks and regulation 📋

Hearing directly from the Chief Inspectors and taking part in discussions around the draft frameworks made for a valuable and thought-provoking experience 🧠

Thankful for the opportunity to attend and contribute to the conversation 🎤
