Did you know that tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the human body? It’s even harder than bone!

But despite its strength, enamel isn’t indestructible. Enamel contains no living cells, which means that once it’s damaged or lost, your body can’t repair or regrow it.

Acid from food, drinks and plaque bacteria can gradually wear enamel away, which is why the everyday basics really do matter: brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, looking after your diet and keeping up with regular dental check-ups.

Be sure to take care of your teeth and book in to see us for your dental treatment and check up!
