Due to the current local outbreak of strangles, I kindly ask all clients to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to help prevent the spread of this highly contagious disease.
If your horse is showing any signs of illness (such as nasal discharge, fever, swollen glands, or lethargy), or if your yard has a suspected or confirmed case of strangles, please contact me as soon as possible to cancel or rearrange your appointment.
The health and safety of your horses and others I visit is my top priority.

This is 27 year old Welsh C pony 'Kane'. Kane started eating his hay awkwardly, last time this happened, we removed a very mobile molar and sure enough, this time was exactly the same. You can see by the photos that the roots (reserve crown) are short and blunt, this is because Kane has, over the years, worn down the tooth due to it continously erupting and he simply doesn't have enough reserve crown to keep it in his head 🦷 this is extremely common in a geriatric horse. Kane is now back to his sassy self and eating happily 🦷🐴
