🩸 Do your gums bleed when you brush or floss?
Many people think it’s normal. It isn’t. Healthy gums don’t bleed.
Bleeding is usually the first sign of gingivitis: plaque builds up along the gumline and the gums become red, swollen and inflamed.
✅ The good news: caught early, gingivitis is completely reversible.
⚠️ The not‑so‑good news: left untreated, it can progress to periodontitis, which can cause bone loss, gum recession and even loose teeth.
What you can do today:
🪥 Keep brushing, gently, twice a day for 2 minutes. Don’t stop because your gums bleed!
🧵 Clean between your teeth every day with floss or interdental brushes.
🦷 Book a check‑up and hygiene appointment so we can remove the plaque and tartar you can’t reach at home.
If your gums bleed regularly, don’t ignore it. Book your appointment with us 💙
