Today is World Multiple Sclerosis Day.
MS affects over 150,000 people in the UK and of these it affects 2 and a half times more women than men. In MS the protective coating that protects your nerves (called myelin) is damaged, affecting your central nervous system, causing a range of symptoms that often differ from person to person. There is no cure for MS but research is ongoing into improving outcomes for patients
