🚨 Important Patient Notice 🚨
We are aware of the meningitis (meningococcal disease) outbreak in the local area and understand this may cause concern for some of our patients.
Symptoms of meningitis or septicaemia can include:
• Sudden high fever
• Severe headache
• Stiff neck
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Sensitivity to bright lights
• Confusion or unusual drowsiness
• Seizures
• Very cold hands and feet
• Joint or muscle pain
• A rash that does not fade when pressed
❗ If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please do not attend your dental appointment. Seek urgent medical attention at your nearest A&E department, where teams are already managing cases.
🤒 As a precaution, if you have a cough, cold, flu-like symptoms, or feel generally unwell, please contact the practice to rearrange your appointment.
