Things we would NEVER do to our teeth… dentist edition! 👀🦷
Whilst the team works on keeping your wonderful smiles healthy, they also have their own dental hygiene....

We think we might all be a little guilty of at least one of these from time to time… 😬

If this video has reminded you that your teeth deserve a little extra attention, it might be time to get that check up booked in with the SMD team! 💙

With it being World Mental Health Day today, it’s an important opportunity to raise awareness, check in with those around us and remember the importance of a smile 💙

At Stella Maris Dental, we believe caring for your mind is just as important as caring for your smile. Kindness, compassion and simply being there for someone can make a real difference every day.

Let’s keep looking out for each other, starting conversations and breaking the stigma around mental health. Our team is always here to welcome you with a friendly face and a listening ear.

A smile can say a thousand words, so keep sharing plenty of them 😊
I know the team will!

It’s National Child Health Day today! 🦷💙

Today, and every day, it’s so important to give your children the best possible start to achieving healthy teeth for life. At SMD, we welcome babies, young children and teenagers to our practice.

We believe prevention is better than cure, especially when it comes to little smiles. Starting dental visits early can help children build healthy habits and feel more confident about visiting the dentist as they grow.
We know the dentist can sometimes feel a little daunting, which is why we do everything we can to make both you and your child feel comfortable from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.

Your child’s journey to healthy teeth is just as important to us as it is to you. 🪥✨

Today is a special day to share an extra smile with someone, or even with yourself in the mirror! 😊 Take a moment to be a little kinder to yourself and those around you today.

But did you know why ‘World Smile Day’ is celebrated?
The day was created by Harvey Ball, the man behind the iconic smiley face. He wanted to bring the focus of his famous symbol back to what really mattered: kindness, goodwill and human connection.
And smiles are pretty important to us here at SMD! 💙

Being able to give our patients the confidence to smile makes our day 100% better.

If you’re heading into the practice for an appointment, you’ll definitely spot our wonderful team embracing World Smile Day with smiles left, right and centre! 😁

October is the official month to celebrate and raise awareness of dental hygiene, and the team at SMD are here for it! 🦷🪥

A big question we get from new and current patients is “How often should I be visiting the dentist?” or “I know my teeth are healthy, so why should I visit every year?”
And we can happily explain why!

Even when your teeth feel healthy, regular check ups give us the chance to spot any changes early, check your teeth and gums, keep an eye on existing dental work and carry out important oral cancer checks.
How often you need to visit is different for everyone, which is why we’ll always recommend what’s right for you and your smile.

Keeping your teeth healthy is the goal! 💙
