At Market Street Dental Practice, we prioritise preventive care over intervention! Our focus with our Hygiene appointments is to promote healthy habits and to maintain good oral health through regular dental appointments.

Did you know the importance and benefits of kids having a dental hygiene clean from an early age ?

For kids, it is really important to start early! We provide a customised pain free dental hygiene treatment for kids called Guided Biofilm Therapy - This dental hygiene treatment will target harmful plaque deposits promoting healthier gums🌟. This treatment is really popular for kids planning on undergoing orthodontic treatment. This is because having a clean teeth and healthy gums before braces, will keep you away from problems that necessitate treatment.

Dear parents, find below the top tips from our lovely Dental Hygienist:

🦷 Starting Dental Hygiene appointments early means healthy gums and teeth from early age and it’s a preventative measure.

🦷 In order for kids to have orthodontic braces, they will need to have healthy gums.

🦷Use Flooride Toothpaste!

🦷 Teach proper brushing techniques: Gentle, circular motions for two minutes.

🦷 Start Flossing.

🦷Limit Sugary Snacks - they will cause decay.

Before and after📸

Zirconia bridge to replace missing anteriors. This lovely patient came to see us to discuss replacing his previous crowns, so we have advised the patient to replace the crowns with a bridge. A bridge is a fixed option and was used to enhance this smile !

Seeing the end result and how happy our patient was, made our day !
