This smile makeover journey began with a patient considering dental tourism abroad.

After a detailed consultation, we explored all available options and designed a treatment plan focused on achieving a result that was not only beautiful, but also natural, functional and tailored specifically to him.

The process included:

🦷 Professional teeth whitening to brighten the natural teeth and establish the ideal shade

🦷 Digital smile planning to assess tooth proportions, smile design and facial aesthetics

🦷 Careful preparation and placement of bespoke EMAX porcelain veneers

🦷 Detailed discussions around colour, shape, size and overall smile character

When the initial veneers were tried in, the patient actually changed his mind.

Rather than choosing an ultra-bright, opaque smile, he wanted something that looked naturally healthy and age-appropriate.

Together, we refined the design to include:

✨ Natural white tones that complemented the surrounding teeth

✨ Subtle mamelons — the gentle contours and character within the incisal edge of the teeth that help create a youthful, realistic appearance

✨ Natural translucency — allowing light to pass through the edges of the veneers, mimicking healthy natural enamel and avoiding a flat, artificial look

✨ Improved symmetry and balance throughout the smile

One of the key discussions was the difference between a bespoke smile design and a one-size-fits-all approach.
