Wondering what the difference between Invisalign and Fixed Braces is? Let us bring you up to date.

There are a few stand-out differences so we’ll focus on those.

Firstly, Invisalign is removable, whereas fixed braces are, believe it or not, fixed. This is a crucial player when considering which option to opt for in braces as it can make a real difference to your lifestyle.🦷

Secondly, Invisalign is far more subtle on the eye. If you’re someone who’s been avoiding orthodontic work because you were worried about wearing braces then this could be a solution for you.

Invisalign isn’t totally invisible but they are pretty close. Good for thought.

And finally, there’s a big difference in how you clean your teeth. As the fixed braces are fitted you won’t be able to clean your teeth as you have previously. You’ll have to clean around them, yes this is totally possible but takes a little more care than you’ve been used to. With Invisalign being removable you’ll be able to clean and floss as you have done previously

🦷 Why small businesses charge a cancellation fee?!

And why so many businesses don’t survive.

Lately we have noticed an increase in late cancellations and no show appointments.

As a small business who has staff to employ and overheads to pay out. Can you imagine taking a large chunk of money off your yearly income with no warning and with the same hours worked?

Many appointments cannot be filled at such short notice, as human beings we understand things can’t be helped sometimes but please stop questioning why small businesses charge for last minute cancellations.

We ask for at least 24 hours notice, many other businesses ask for 48hours notice.

Please do not take it out on our staff if you are charged for cancelling your appointment at short notice, and please do not ask to speak to the practice owner, they are doing there jobs and following our practice policy. Our system automatically puts a charge on your account if you cancel with less 24 hour notice.

We have the sms/whatsapp number if you need to cancel or you can leave a voicemail if you ring our landline.
