✋🏽COVID-19 UPDATE✋🏽

We now have our QR Code that we require all patients to scan when entering the practice. You will need to have already downloaded the NHS COVID-19 app to check in.
For those who don’t have a smart phone, we have your contact details which is sufficient.

Also just a reminder that face coverings must be worn when entering the building and for the duration of your visit unless medically exempt.

Coronavirus (Covid 19) update:

For the health and wellbeing off our staff and patients, Perfect Smile have elected to close the practice for the next few weeks, effective from tonight. We are in touch with patients currently to cancel any booked appointments.

If you require emergency care in this time, our sister practice in North Shields will be seeing any of our patients as emergencies only. This includes severe pain, bleeding, swelling. They can be reached 9-5 Monday to Friday on 0191 257 5290.

This information will also be made available on our practice landline's answer phone message.

We will update this page when normal service resumes.

A message to our patients.

It is easy to understand the concerns that many of our patients have surrounding the Coronavirus. We want to reassure patients that all Perfect Smile staff takes the health of each other and our patients extremely seriously. As always we follow a strict infection control policy and all measures are in place, with Coronavirus in mind we are taking extra precautions.

• Any staff or patients feeling unwell will be asked not to come into the practice. Following current government advice on isolation.
• We are regularly disinfecting high hand traffic areas such as door handles etc. throughout the day.
• We advise any patients that have queries or concerns about coming to the practice to call us to discuss rearranging/postponing their appointments
• We are screening every patient coming into practice, questions on current health status and recent travels.
• Hand sanitizer is available to all patients as soon as they enter the practice and hand washing advice is displayed in all bathrooms.

Our nurses are getting the surgeries ready for a busy half term next week! All children booked in for a check up will receive a free toothbrush. We still have limited appointment slots available! 🧒🏻👅🦷

Remember, toothbrushes (including electric toothbrush heads!) need to be replaced every 3 months!

Old toothbrushes can harbour harmful bacteria and be less effective when cleaning.

This is why we are currently offering a free dental care goody bag to all new patients, as well as a free children's toothbrush to any child booked in during the February half term!
