Last week we talked about plaque - the sticky film that builds up every day
If it isn't removed:

➡️It hardens into tartar within 24-72 hours
➡️Tartar can't be brushed off at home and requires professional cleaning
➡️It irritates the gums causing gingivitis
➡️Gingivitis left untreated can progress to periodontitis
➡️Periodontitis damages the bone supporting your teeth

What is plaque?

This is what is really living on your teeth 👀

Plaque is a sticky film of bacteria that forms on your teeth every single day.
You cant always see it...
but it's always there.

Within hours of brushing, plaque starts building up again.
When plaque sits along the gums it causes redness, swelling and bleeding - this is how gum disease begins.
(Not to mention it can cause decay to the teeth too!)
