💙 Our P&O workforce must be valued.

Only 34% of prosthetists and orthotists definitely planned to remain in the profession for the next five years, a statistic that highlights the urgent need to support, retain and invest in the people delivering these essential services.

Prosthetists and orthotists bring specialist expertise that helps people maintain mobility, independence, participation and quality of life. When we lose experienced professionals, we also lose valuable knowledge, capacity and continuity of care.

Workforce sustainability is not just a professional issue, it is a patient care issue.

Through the Prosthetics & Orthotics Awareness Campaign, we are calling for greater recognition of the P&O workforce, stronger career development opportunities, improved support and meaningful investment in the future of the profession.

📣 We need to value the people who deliver P&O services today if we want strong, sustainable services tomorrow.
