A tooth worth fighting for!
Back in 2021, this UR7 presented with a very compromised prognosis. Following a thorough assessment and discussion of the risks, benefits, and alternatives, we made a mutual decision to proceed with root canal treatment and restoration, aiming to preserve the tooth despite the uncertainty surrounding its long-term outlook.
Fast forward 5 years, and the tooth remains stable, functional, and symptom-free. There is some deterioration at the distal margin that we'll address at a future visit, but overall this case demonstrates how careful planning, patient commitment, and high-quality endodontic and restorative care can help retain even heavily compromised teeth for many years.
Sometimes the best outcomes come from giving a tooth a chance.
