Happy New Year! Is it too late to say Happy New Year?! For some of our clear aligner patients this is the first time we have seen them since early December as one of the benefits of aligner treatment is that you don’t need to be seen as often in surgery! You are given enough aligners to keep you going between your visits with us. Each aligner has movement built in to it meaning the treatment is always moving forward! My 14 yr old daughter has just finished 1 year of invisalign and the transformation has been astonishing - her teeth have gone from a right old mess to literally perfect. We compared the prices and services of a few invisalign 'specialists' but Thames Orthodontics were by far the best and we really pleased we went ahead with it. Incredibly professional, state of the art equipment, and also kind, helpful and friendly. My daughter has had to make sacrifices over the year - you must wear them pretty much all the time, but can't eat with them in, and you must brush your teeth before replacing them, so snacking/eating on the go is tricky. Surprisingly she's had virtually no discomfort, perhaps a little achy every now and again early on, but really minimal. Not only do her teeth look amazing, they will be so much easier to keep clean, so her long-term oral heath prospects are so much better. We're delighted.
