To help ensure your referrals and treatment records are processed correctly, all patients are now required to provide their NHS number when attending appointments.

Your NHS number helps us:
✅ Send referrals quickly and accurately
✅ Access the correct patient records
✅ Avoid delays in treatment and appointments
✅ Improve communication between healthcare services

If you do not know your NHS number, you can easily find it using the QR code in reception or online through the NHS website

📢 NHS Update

Due to the introduction of the new NHS dental access portal, we are currently unable to add family members or patients who have not been seen at the practice since April 2023. Unfortunately, these changes are outside of our control and apply to all NHS patients, including long-standing ones.

We understand that this may be frustrating and disappointing, and we appreciate your patience while we navigate the new NHS contract and system changes.

Big changes are coming to NHS Dentistry in Wales from 1st April 🦷

The current banding system is being replaced with a new approach focused on individual patient needs and prevention. Treatment costs may change, with patients contributing up to 50% of treatment costs, capped at £384 per course of treatment (excluding lab fees).

Routine check-up intervals may also vary depending on your oral health risk, rather than a fixed schedule.

Many patients will still qualify for free NHS dental care, including children, pregnant women and those on certain benefits.

Stay informed and speak to your dental practice if you have questions about how these changes may affect you.
