With the lovely weather and school holidays here, we understand that plans can sometimes change. If you are unable to attend your appointment, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible, ideally providing at least 24 hours’ notice.

Appointments are currently in very high demand and are often booked months in advance. Cancelling unwanted appointments allows us to offer these spaces to other patients who may be waiting in pain or in urgent need of treatment.

⚠️ Important Notice ⚠️

We understand that plans can change and unexpected commitments arise. However, we operate under a very strict appointment policy.

If two appointments are missed, you will be removed from our patient list. NHS dental places are extremely limited, and it may be very difficult to find another NHS dentist.

It is essential that children attend regular dental appointments. Failing to ensure this can be considered a form of neglect.

To highlight the impact, yesterday alone we had 33 missed appointments. One clinician experienced 17 non-attendances, 15 of which were children. In total, 20 of the missed appointments were for children.

Missed appointments prevent other patients—many of whom are in urgent need—from being seen. We kindly ask that you attend your scheduled appointments or provide adequate notice if you are unable to do so.

Just a reminder to all patients:

If you miss your first 'New Patient' appointment, or fail to attend an out-of-hours appointment on a Saturday, you will not be offered another appointment at this practice.

Missed appointments cost the NHS approximately £160 each, and that time could have been given to another patient who may be struggling to access an NHS dentist.
