***CHARITY NEWS***

Georg our fabulous Therapist along with Jo our receptionist and her husband Tom will be running the Stone Relay Ultra Marathon which is a whopping 33 Miles.
This will take place on the 21st May 2016 and they are currently raising money for National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) especially Juvenille Idiopathic Arthritis as one of our nurses has a niece that is undergoing treatment for this.

Happy St Patricks day to all.

Whilst some may be enjoying the day with a pint of guiness we here at LRDP are discussing the Budget, more specifically the new Sugar Tax that will be introduced to sugary drinks.

As most people are aware Childhood obesity is fast becoming an issue within the UK and it not hard to see why,when a can of full fat coke is cheaper to purchase then a bottle of water. As well as that healthier foods are priced higher as well.

With the sugar tax coming into effect do YOU think it will make a difference??

What is Bruxism???????

Bruxism is a habit that affects around 8-10% of the population. It is broadly characterised by grinding of the teeth and clenching of the jaw that causes tooth wear and breakage, disorders of the jaw (pain and limited movement) and headache. Bruxism occurs in both children and adults but is most common in 25-44 year olds. However, most people grind and/or clench their teeth occasionally to a certain degree.

Some think it is caused by a degree of stress which in turn causes us to unconsciously grind and clench during the time we are asleep.
