There are plenty of toothbrushes on the market now, but which one should you be buying?
We recommend a soft or medium bristled toothbrush. Hard bristles can be abrasive, potentially leading to gum recession and enamel wear.
A small brush head allows you to easily maneuver around your mouth and reach tricky areas like the back molars.
A brush with a larger handle can help with manual dexterity.
Many electric brushes have a timer, to help you brush for the right amount of time, many brushes now also have a pressure sensor which lets you know when you're pressing a bit too hard. If you feel like you do scrub a bit too hard when brushing, a soft brush or an electric brush might benefit you!
Brush the inside of the lower teeth first before moving round the rest of the teeth on the front and back of them. Brush across the gum margin where the tooth meets the gum to prevent plaque build up, which can increase your risk of decay if left on the teeth!🦷😁🪥
