We have recently received a number of enquiries requesting free dental appointments. As a private dental practice, unfortunately it is not possible for us to provide treatment free of charge, as doing so would make it unsustainable for us to continue operating as a business.
At present, there are no NHS contracts available to us, which means we are also unable to offer NHS-funded or subsidised dental care.
In the past, we have offered new patient appointments at £25 (a fee that was lower than the cost of an NHS dental examination) to help improve access to dental care for those who may have been struggling to see a dentist. We may consider similar initiatives again in the future. However, with the significant increases in the cost of dental materials, laboratory fees, and general operating expenses, we must ensure that any services we provide remain financially sustainable and we do not operate at a loss.
