What is gum disease?🤔

Gum disease is an infection of the gum, it is typically caused by the buildup of plaque along and below the gum line. It can cause recession of the gum and the loss of teeth, so should be dealt with immediately.

Welcome to our practice

Our team consists of 1 Principal Dentist, 2 Associate Dentists, 1 Foundation Dentist , 3 Receptionists, 1 Practice Manager, and 4 GDC Registered Nurses and 2 Trainee Nurses. Our staff will always aim to provide a high standard of care for patients. The dentists are:

Mr Noel Davies BDS (Dund) GDC Reg No 57726 since July 1983

Mrs Ceri Baber BDS (Lond) GDC Reg No 74957 since July 1998

Ms Oi Tai Cheung BDS (Hons) GDC Reg No 114632 since July 2007

Miss Tamsyn Ooi BDS (Lond) GDC Reg No 284204 since July 2019

We are a friendly dental team who are used to seeing very nervous patients and children. We make every effort to end dental fear with very gentle dentistry.

Noel graduated Dundee university in 1983 and worked at 2 other surgeries before opening Gentle Dental Care. He started as a 1 surgery practice in 1 room of the building and it has grown into a 3 surgery practice and a Mobile Dental Van, all with a great reputation. He is a respected dental surgeon and is a training programme director, responsible for the further training of recently graduated dental surgeons and ensuring high practice standards are met by dentists coming from abroad.

We have a relaxed waiting area with friendly receptionists to make your visit to the dentist as comfortable as possible. Our practice is a very welcoming and homely environment, put your feet up and feel right at home!

We have a large carpark on site.

There is wheelchair access to the practice ground floor.

1st floor surgery and 2 ground floor surgeries.

The practice is usually open Monday to Friday 9.00am -5.00pm excluding Bank Holidays. Noel Davies usually starts at 8.00am for Private and Denplan patients. Late evening appointments are available until 8pm on Mondays and Fridays if Noel is in practice. Some Saturdays are available with Noel only. Depending on which dentists are in practice the opening hours may change, so please always check!
