Dr Stavros is a Specialist Oral Surgeon, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, and Implant Dentist with over 29 years of experience. Having placed more than 10,000 implants and carried out thousands of advanced grafting procedures, he brings a remarkable depth of knowledge in complex surgical and implant cases.

At Ferry Dental Centre, we are proud of the high standard of care our clinicians already provide. The addition of Dr Stavros further strengthens our team, allowing us to support even the most complex cases in-house.

Have you had a tooth removed and wondered if you really need to replace it… especially if it’s a back tooth that no one can see?

This is a great example of why planning ahead matters.

After a tooth is removed, the neighbouring teeth don’t just stay still — they slowly move into the gap. Your bite changes, the bone in that area starts to shrink, and over time it becomes much more difficult to replace the missing tooth.

Back teeth are especially important. They do most of the chewing, help keep your bite stable, and protect your front teeth from extra pressure.

Fixing things years later is often more complex, less predictable, and sometimes not even possible without additional treatment.

That’s why, ideally, we always create a plan before removing a tooth — so we know how we’re going to restore your smile and your bite afterwards.

In this case, we restored the upper and lower front teeth with composite bonding after careful assessment and digital planning, including a 3D mock-up so the patient could preview her new smile before treatment began.
