With its name inspired by the local church, St Michael’s has been part of the South Shields community since 1913, making it the longest running practice in South Tyneside. We offer a wide range of services from simple treatments such routine dental care to advanced treatments such as full cosmetic makeovers and dental implant work. St Michael’s is a dental practice for both NHS and Private patients. Our dentists, nurses and staff are trained to the highest standards to ensure you receive the treatment you and your family deserve.

💙 A Very Special Goodbye to Nicole & Anya 💙

On Saturday, we celebrated two very special members of the St Michael’s Dental Practice family at their leaving party. 🥂✨

Nicole has been part of our practice since 2005, when she joined us as an apprentice dental nurse. After an incredible 21 years with us, she is now taking the next exciting step in her journey and heading off to University to study Dental Hygiene. 🦷🎓

Anya joined us in 2021, also as an apprentice dental nurse, and has become such a valued and much-loved member of our team. She is now off to University to study Adult Nursing. 👩‍⚕️🎓

The girls have both been such a huge part of St Michael’s Dental Practice, and their hard work, dedication, kindness and friendship have meant so much to all of us. They will be incredibly missed — both by the team and, we’re sure, by our patients too. 💙

Nicole and Anya, we wish you both all the luck in the world on your next adventures. 🌟

📆🦷 POLITE NOTICE! 🪥

This week we have had quite a lot of missed appointments also know as a ‘failed to attend’ appointment.

We completely understand that life can get busy and that sometimes appointments can simply slip your mind — it happens!

However, we are a very busy practice, and we have many patients waiting for appointments. When an appointment is missed without notice, we are often unable to offer that appointment time to another patient who may have been waiting to be seen.

If you are unable to attend your appointment please give us notice by:
Phone call, voice mail, email or Facebook messenger!

🪥 Are you brushing for long enough?

It’s recommended to brush your teeth twice a day for 2 minutes using fluoride toothpaste.

✨ Don’t rush! Take your time and make sure you clean all surfaces of your teeth, including along the gum line.

A little extra time spent brushing can make a big difference to your smile! 😁
