Week 7 of Neils Clipper Adventure

🌊 New Life on Team Washington DC 🌊

What a week it’s been out on the ocean…

The fleet has been pushing through the Caribbean, facing everything from relentless squalls to moments of perfect sailing. One minute it’s blue skies and steady 15-knot winds the next, torrential rain and powerful gusts testing every ounce of skill and resilience onboard. And yes,the boat is still on its side most of the time! Imagine trying to live, move, and sleep while walking on a wall!

And for those wondering 👀
They’ve officially crossed into the Bermuda Triangle but don’t worry, we’ve had contact from Neil (and even a sighting on the Clipper page 😅), so he’s safe and still going strong!

It’s been a week of big tactical moves and tough lessons across the fleet. Team Warrant made a bold push east for the Scoring Gate, securing valuable bonus points before getting caught in challenging conditions. Meanwhile, Team Washington DC has been battling hard, currently sitting mid-fleet after a tough stretch along the Florida coastline and a 6-hour penalty after sailing too close to a wreck.

Even Neil’s previous team, GOSH, are feeling the pressure, maybe they’re missing Neil their secret weapon? 😉

Despite it all, Neil is thriving. Reports say helming through storms has been “amazing” and we think it’s safe to say he’s right at home behind the wheel now. 💪

Life onboard isn’t easy, it’s still hot, cramped below deck, and even getting in and out of a bunk is a challenge. But spirits remain high as the finish draws closer.

⛵ ETA: 16th June – Washington DC
We cannot wait to welcome Neil back to dry land!

💙 We’re still raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, and there’s just 3 days left to show your support by leaving us a Google review, for every review received whilst Neil is still on the boat the practice will donate £5 to GOSH on your behalf.

The support so far has been incredible, we can’t wait for Neil to see all your messages and generosity when he’s back.

Let’s give him the welcome he deserves 🙌

The adventure Continues….

Beauty sleep isn't a myth! ✨

Poor sleep can lead to dark circles, dull skin, premature ageing and reduced wellbeing.
If you snore, wake feeling tired, or struggle with fatigue, sleep apnoea could be the reason.

A small custom-made dental device can help improve your sleep making you a real sleeping beauty!

Better sleep means better skin and hair! 😴

🌍 Week 6 of Neil’s Clipper Adventure – Plot Twist Alert! ⛵🔥

After weeks of relentless racing, Week 6 finally brought a brief taste of normal life…
Sleep (lots of it 😴), fresh clothes, a bit of exploring… and yes even a haircut in Panama 💇‍♂️

But don’t be fooled, this wasn’t a holiday.
The boats still needed prepping, cleaning, and restocking so it was literally all hands on deck (pun fully intended 😉).

🏆 Big Win Then a Big Move

Last race saw Team GOSH take 1st place 🥇 (no surprise with Neil onboard 💪), while Team Washington DC came in last.
Now here’s where it gets interesting…

After helping secure the win, Neil did something bold 👀
👉 He volunteered to switch teams to Washington DC after they lost two crew members.
From first place, to rebuilding a struggling team.
That’s leadership. That’s grit. That’s Neil.

(We’re still proudly supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity all the way ❤️)

🚢 The Panama Canal Experience

This week also included one of the most iconic moments of the entire race.
Passing through the Panama Canal 🌴
From full-throttle ocean racing to a slow, controlled transit through towering locks, lifting them around 26 metres between sea levels.

No racing. No tactics.
Just precision, teamwork and taking in one of the greatest engineering feats in the world.

⚡ Back to Racing – And It’s Brutal
Straight back to reality.
The next Le Mans start kicked off on Thursday and Team DC came out strong.

But this leg is a whole different game.
⛵ Sailing upwind at 45°
🌊 Constant tilt
🤹‍♂️ Even getting dressed becomes a challenge!

📍 Where Are They Now?
They’re currently sailing past Jamaica, heading up towards Cuba, with their sights set on Chesapeake Bay before finishing in Washington DC 🇺🇸

And here’s the exciting part…
👀 They’re currently sitting in 5th place
🔥 Only 8.4 miles behind the leaders
🏁 The Big Question?
They may be out of the overall race win but could Neil help turn Team DC’s fortunes around and push for a Race 11 podium finish?

We’re watching closely
Let’s go Neil, let’s go Team DC! 💙

The adventure continues…
Eat 🍽️. Sail ⛵️. Sleep 🛌 . Repeat.
