🥂This week we celebrated a special milestone, 10 years in our current premises, surrounded by around 30 dentists from across the West Midlands who joined us for an evening of clinical learning, celebration and collaboration.

At CEAD, patients can book directly with us, but we also work closely with dentists who need additional support when a patient’s treatment is more complex 🦷.

Our evening was a chance to say thank you to the dentists who trust us with their patients, while giving our clinical team the opportunity to showcase some of the treatment we provide.

From oral surgery and removing a cyst, to improving the appearance of a large gap, managing dental implant complications, treating gum disease and carrying out root canal treatment to help save teeth, the evening demonstrated just how much can sometimes be achieved when complex cases are assessed and treated by experienced clinicians.

The feedback from the dentists was fantastic. Some of the key things they said they took away from the evening included

💬 “What can be achieved with the expertise of the clinicians at CEAD.”
💬 “Send cases with no hope to experts.”
💬 “The importance of leadership.”

For patients, the message is just as important, if you’ve been told that a tooth cannot be saved, that your case is too complicated, or that you need treatment beyond what your usual dentist provides, it may be worth getting a specialist opinion.

We also heard from Neil about the highs and lows of his Clipper adventure 🚤 and were delighted to thank everyone who helped us raise an amazing £11,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

Last week, Dr Neil Wilson attended the EAOPD 2026 Meeting in Athens:

“Orofacial Pain Diagnostics The Art of Seeing Further”

Orofacial pain can be complex and sometimes the source of the pain isn’t as straightforward as it first appears.

The conference brought together experts in orofacial pain and diagnosis, exploring how dentists can look beyond the obvious, recognise different pain patterns and improve the way complex pain is assessed and managed.

For our patients, that means something really important:

Continued learning, deeper expertise and better informed care.

If you’ve been experiencing ongoing tooth, jaw, facial or oral pain and haven’t been able to get to the bottom of it, you may benefit from a specialist assessment.

Yesterday, the team took part in our annual Immediate Life Support training, an important part of making sure we’re always prepared to keep our patients safe, whatever the procedure.

🦷 Patient safety is at the heart of everything we do, and keeping these skills refreshed means our team can respond quickly and confidently should an emergency ever arise.

Of course, no training day would be complete without a little something to keep the team alert, focused and fully fuelled… 🍫😂
